2008 Chrysler Pacifica 360 View
Overview
The 2008 Chrysler Pacifica is a crossover that seeks, like all crossovers, to combine the best of different vehicle types – the utility of a sport utility vehicle, the cargo space of a minivan, and the luxury, comfort and reliability of a sedan. For 2008, Chrysler Pacifica introduces some maverick styling with the aim of taking it to a new niche segment, which the company calls the "sports tourer".

Available in three main trims, the LX, Touring and Limited, this crossover is further divided into three subtrims, the main differentiating component being in the drive type, which is either all-wheel drive or forward-wheel drive.
Powertrain and performance
A 250-horsepower, V-6 engine, as well as a 36-month/36,000-mile warranty are standard across trims. The LX is available in two subtrims: a 3.8-liter, six-cylinder, four-speed automatic; and 4.0-liter, six-speed multispeed automatic. The Limited and Touring are available with a 4.0-liter, six-cylinder, six-speed multispeed automatic.
Styling
Among standard interior features are a navigation system, 200-watt Infinity sound system, power lift gate, sophisticated instrument panel, heated seats for the second row, dual-zone temperature control, and Bluetooth-compatible UConnect™. The renovated exterior includes a remodeled hood, front fascia, fenders and grilles, and rearview mirror.
Safety
The SUV gets renamed "safety utility vehicle" to denote its set of safety features, which has earned the vehicle five stars from the NHTSA. These include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, power-adjusted pedals with memory, tire-pressure monitor, and front, side and knee air bags.
