2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser 360 View
Overview
This is a throwback model in every sense of the term. The PT Cruiser with its classic looks is reminiscent of bygone day. But this carryover from 2007 is not antiquated when it comes to performance. It is available as a sedan and convertible.
Powertrain and performance
The PT Cruiser Base convertible has a 2.4-liter displacement with a double overhead cam (DOHC). The 16-valve, in-line, four-cylinder engine delivers decent power at 150 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. While the drive is front-wheel, the transmission is five-speed manual. The wagon models – Base, Touring and Limited – are all four-wheel drive and come with more or less the same specifications. The models carry a standard warranty of 36 months or 60,000 miles.
Styling
The instrument panel includes a tachometer, trip computer, clock, and low fuel-level warning system. On the outside, steel wheels, all-season tires, full-wheel covers, spare tire (mounted inside), rear defogger, rear window wiper, and variable intermittent wipers are some of the standard features.
Safety
Four-wheel anti-lock braking system, child seat anchors, side air bags, and traction control are some of the main standard safety features of this model. Others include dual front with head protection chambers, side mounted air bags, passenger air bag occupant sensing deactivation, rear door child safety locks, engine immobilizer, and tire- pressure monitoring.
