2008 Chrysler Sebring Sedan 360 View
Overview
The 2008 Chrysler Sebring Sedan is a midsize, four-door family car that can accommodate up to five persons. Like its counterpart the Convertible, it has brought in some perceptible changes for this year’s model. It comes in three trims, Base (LX), Limited and Touring.
Powertrain and performance
There is no difference in engine configuration between the sedan and the convertible. The sedan too comes with three engine options: A 2.4-liter, in-line, four-cylinder that produces 173 horsepower on the LX; a 2.7-liter V-6 giving 189 horsepower on the Touring; and a 3.5-liter V-6 producing 235 horsepower on the Limited. The sedan comes with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Styling
Some of this year’s additions are noticeable in the interior, which is more spacious and has some upscale features like a built-in navigation system; an available sound system with a six-disc, in-dash CD changer; a standard stereo; satellite radio; satin-silver instrument bezels (on the Touring); automatic headlamps; and optional, genuine walnut-wood trim.

Additions in this year’s exterior include new colors such as linen gold, midnight blue, magnesium pearl and inferno red crystal pearl.
Safety
The focus for this year’s model has been to mitigate the impact of severe accidents for occupants. A notable feature is the multistage front air bags. These deploy different levels of power, depending upon the magnitude of the impact, and reduce occupant air bag exposure. Supplemental to these are the energy-absorbing steering column, and the instrument panel knee blockers, which provide a sort of cushion in frontal impacts.
